This is my mule, Deacon, and me in Emminence, MO back in October, 2005. He was on loan for a trial period from a friend and I fell in love with him that week. He is the best birthday present my husband ever bought me.

We recently moved and our mules are staying down the road at our friend's house. We all went on a ride Saturday, April 1st. When my husband and I arrived at our friend's place, we were super surprised to see that they had all gotten together and decided to pull a prank on us and paint our mules' hooves neon orange on Ole Goober and neon green on Ole Tom. We all had a good laugh and an even better ride. Goober is the one with the orange and he is 16yrs old and is my husband's, Jimbo's Tom is the one with green and he is 5yrs old and mine, Mary. Here is 6 year old Nick Zuchowski riding Henry. You can't blame a proud grandma (me) for showing off one of her grandsons (the one in the soccer uniform)! Henry is a former 'calf trainer' now settled in his new employment at The Mule Store as 'grandchild entertainer and carrot moocher' ( a master at multi-tasking). P.

This is my mule George he is a coming 10 yr old that was one of those $400 mules that nobody could do anything with that in a few months time I had the perfect mule..That pic is of me and him in Love Valley North Carolina...That town is known as the cowboy capital of North Carolina. Anyone who wants to experience the look and feel of the old days should go there atleast once...But this is Georges first trip there and it wont be his last ...He's now a regular there just about 5 times a yr...Ya'll take care and have a good day...Andy Melvin

This is Sam the cat with HIS mule Dan. During the day Sam sleeps in the round bale so he can watch over his herd. They belong to Deb Cole and thanks to Deb for sharing the picture!
